I worked as a data science intern in my undergrad and after graduating from BITS Pilani, I worked for a couple of years as a full-stack developer before joining IIM-Indore.
Though my stint at IIM-Indore campus so far has been brief due to the current scenario of pandemic but I enjoyed every available moment there. Be it the panoramic view of the campus, highly talented faculty or, the amazing time spent with friends. I feel privileged to be a part of it. The adrenaline-charged group assignments, quizzes, exams, competitions and other challenging activities within restricted time were also part of the journey but they definitely helped us in overall grooming to deal with all types of situations in the field.
I was fortunate to bag the summer internship offer at Microsoft. As a program manager intern, I am part of the Microsoft shopping team and the project is related to creating certain features for the shopping spaces. The project involves doing secondary research, industry and competitor analysis, understanding user journeys, brainstorming ideation and flow design and creating the entire roadmap for the feature.
Over the limited period of my internship, I got exposure to the nitty-gritties of product management, interfaced with a group of incredible people, and explored one of the largest and most diverse tech companies of our time. My mentor and manager are brilliant and extraordinarily supportive and I am really grateful to them.
For now, all I can say is that the journey had been amazing.
